The CAPR signed the contract as the partner organization to the Active Citizenship Network (ACN) on international project "Assesing Patients' Rights in Europe"
Project "Assesing Patients' Rights in Europe" aims to assess with cooperation of national citizens' organizations the situation of 14 Rights as stated in the European Charter of Patients' Rights in various European countries and consequently set up a report on the state of these rights.

Croatia is the Host for the 18th World Medical Law Congress
By the resolution of the Board of Governors of WAML that took place in August 31, 2007, emphasized candidature of the Croatian Association for Promotion of Patients' Rights collaborating with The Zagreb Faculty of Law and with help of City of Zagreb has been accepted. With that resolution we can negotiate with WAML to sign the contract which will enable Zagreb to be the host of the 18th World Medical Law Congress, which will be held in August in 2010.

Patients’ Rights in a Nutshell
For a number of years we have offered to contribute to developing a brief guide for patients that would help them understand their rights and educate them about various important concepts concerning those rights.
OUR DRAFT OF THE ACT ON PATIENTS’ RIGHTS
In December 2004 the Act on the Protection of Patients’ Rights entered into force in Croatia. However, this law lacks the basic elements for protection of patients’ rights based on partner relations.
On many occasions we have pointed out the shortcomings of this law and the inappropriate definitions contained in the Draft Act on the Protection of Patients’ Rights. For this reason, the Draft Act on the Rights, Obligations and Liabilities of Patients is still on our website, and any comments or suggestions are most welcome.
